PM Modi to Visit Gujarat and Daman, Launch Development Projects Worth Over ₹22,000 Crore

New Delhi, June 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat and Daman on Friday to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth over ₹22,000 crore, spanning sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, aviation, connectivity, and industrial development.

During his visit to Surat, Gujarat, PM Modi will dedicate and launch projects worth over ₹18,800 crore related to roads, power, and industrial infrastructure. A key highlight of the visit will be the inauguration of a 200-bedded ESIC Hospital in Surat, which is expected to provide modern healthcare facilities and improved secondary medical care across multiple specialities.

The Prime Minister will also launch several important initiatives by the Gujarat government, including advanced power distribution upgrades and effluent disposal and treatment infrastructure at Dahej Petroleum, aimed at strengthening industrial sustainability and environmental management.

Later in the evening, PM Modi will travel to Daman, where he will lay the foundation stone for development projects worth around ₹2,970 crore. These projects will focus on healthcare, civil aviation, tourism, connectivity, public infrastructure, and citizen welfare.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and dedicate projects worth nearly ₹1,340 crore, including the new terminal building of NAMO Airport and NAMO Hospital. The airport terminal is expected to significantly enhance regional air connectivity and support economic growth in the region.

The visit reflects the government’s continued emphasis on strengthening infrastructure, expanding healthcare access, and accelerating economic and regional development across western India.
