Ahead of Amarnath Yatra 2026, Jammu Divisional Commissioner Reviews Pilgrimage Preparedness in Ramban

In preparation for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, reviewed pilgrimage preparedness in Ramban district and inspected arrangements along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.

The inspection covered the crucial stretch from the Nashri Tunnel to the Navyug Tunnel in Banihal, with a focus on ensuring seamless travel and safety for thousands of pilgrims expected to undertake the annual religious journey.

During the visit, the Divisional Commissioner assessed road conditions, traffic management systems, emergency services, and other essential facilities aimed at facilitating smooth movement along the highway. Officials from various departments also participated in the review to strengthen inter-departmental coordination ahead of the yatra.

Authorities emphasized the importance of medical preparedness, sanitation, accommodation, and uninterrupted connectivity to provide a secure and comfortable pilgrimage experience for devotees.
