The fire erupted at Flourish Stay B&B, a hotel operating under Delhi government's Bed and Breakfast (B&B) scheme. Sources revealed that the establishment had permission to run only six rooms but was allegedly operating around 25 rooms, raising serious concerns over possible safety violations.
Eyewitnesses recounted horrifying moments from the tragedy. In one dramatic escape, a woman reportedly jumped from the third floor of the building with her child to save their lives as flames and smoke spread rapidly through the premises.

Emergency teams rushed to the site and rescued over 40 people trapped inside the building. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and an investigation has been launched.
