Ranchi Author Sets World Record by Writing 120 Pages in 120 Minutes

Ranchi-based Hindi author Dr. Megha Rani has created a new world record by writing 120 original handwritten pages in just 120 minutes, earning official recognition from the Book of World Records. The achievement, recognized on July 2, 2026, has brought national attention to the writer and added another milestone to Jharkhand's literary legacy.
The record-setting manuscript focuses on Jharkhand's rich history, culture, traditions, and heritage. It will soon be published as a book titled Apan Jharkhand, celebrating the state's identity through literature.
Dr. Megha completed the feat without taking a break, making her one of the fastest women to write in Hindi. The record attempt began in January in Jaipur, followed by a live online evaluation in May in the presence of international judges. After verifying the evidence, both the Book of World Records and the Influencer Book of World Records officially recognized her achievement. The record has also been submitted to the London Book of World Records and the Asian Book of Records for further recognition.
For the past seven years, Dr. Megha has been actively writing on women's issues and social themes. Her earlier work, Shri Krishna Leela, was featured in the International Book of Records, and she has received several honours, including the Rashtriya Gaurav Award.
Speaking about her achievement, Dr. Megha said the record is dedicated to her mother tongue Hindi and her home state of Jharkhand. She expressed hope that her success would inspire young people, especially girls, to pursue their dreams with determination.
With Apan Jharkhand set for publication, her record-breaking manuscript is expected to become a significant literary tribute to the state's cultural heritage.
