New Delhi: Social reformer and climate activist Sonam Wangchuk has ended his hunger strike after receiving assurances from the Central Government. The development came after Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda and Union Minister Jitendra Singh met Wangchuk at Medanta Hospital and held discussions with him.
According to reports, the two ministers conveyed the Centre's assurance regarding the concerns raised by Wangchuk during his indefinite fast. Following the meeting, Wangchuk decided to call off his hunger strike.
