Google Maps Error Allegedly Causes Four Candidates to Miss UP Police Recruitment Exam in Muzaffarnagar

A navigation error allegedly caused major trouble for four candidates appearing for the Uttar Pradesh Police recruitment examination in Muzaffarnagar district, resulting in them missing their test.

The affected candidates, residents of Ghaziabad and Hapur, claimed they were unable to reach their examination centre on time after Google Maps allegedly directed them to the wrong location. According to the candidates, instead of guiding them to the designated exam venue, the navigation app led them to a forested area near Chandhedi village in Shamli district.

Due to the confusion and delay caused by the incorrect route, all four candidates reportedly missed their examination, raising concerns over overreliance on digital navigation during important events.

The incident has sparked discussion on the accuracy of location services and the importance of verifying routes in advance, especially for critical examinations and official appointments. Authorities are yet to issue an official statement regarding the matter.
