Patna Imposes New Rules for Coaching Institutes After Khan Sir Coaching Controversy

After the vandalism and controversy surrounding Khan Sirโs coaching institute, the Patna district administration has announced strict new regulations for coaching centers across the city. The rules will be enforced from June 22, when schools reopen after summer vacations.
Under the new guidelines, coaching institutes will not be permitted to run during school hours, scheduled from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Coaching classes can only be conducted after 4 PM.
The education department said the move is aimed at ensuring 100% attendance in schools and encouraging students to prioritize regular classroom education. Authorities have also warned of strict monitoring and action against institutes that violate the rules.
Officials believe the decision will help improve studentsโ academic performance and strengthen school-based learning.
