Raghav Chadha Defends NEET Aspirants, Welcomes Major Exam Reforms in Rajya Sabha
AAP MP says students' anger was justified, praises government's anti-paper leak law, fast-track investigation, and shift to computer-based NEET exams.
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha said the anger and frustration of NEET aspirants over the examination process was completely justified. Speaking in the Upper House, he stated that the voices of students reached the Prime Minister, prompting the government to respond like a responsible guardian by introducing significant reforms to the country's examination system.
Chadha said the government has, for the first time, introduced a comprehensive legal framework to curb paper leaks. Referring to the NEET paper leak case, he noted that a chargesheet was filed in a fast-track court within just 75 days, ensuring the investigation was completed without unnecessary delays.
Highlighting the reforms, Chadha said future NEET examinations will be conducted through a computer-based testing system instead of the traditional OMR sheet format. He also praised the newly enacted anti-paper leak law, saying its strict provisions would serve as a powerful deterrent and discourage anyone from attempting such offences in the future.
