Sonam Wangchuk Praises Government's Kashmir Rail Infrastructure, Applauds Chenab Bridge and Vande Bharat

Climate activist and innovator Sonam Wangchuk has praised the Indian government's landmark railway infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir, describing his journey on the Delhi–Srinagar Vande Bharat train as a memorable experience. He also lauded the iconic Chenab Rail Bridge, calling it a remarkable feat of engineering and saying it made him feel proud of Indian Railways.

Wangchuk's remarks came after he travelled on the recently inaugurated rail route connecting the Kashmir Valley with the rest of the country. He described crossing the Chenab Bridge—the world's highest railway arch bridge—as a "beautiful experience" and appreciated the engineering excellence behind the project.

However, Wangchuk also struck a balanced note, saying that while he was proud of Indian Railways and the infrastructure achievements, he hoped to be equally proud of the government for honouring its commitments and assurances to the people, particularly on issues concerning students and Ladakh.
