Bollywood actor Salman Khan has reacted to the ongoing student protests against the alleged paper leak, expressing concern over the violence that erupted during what he described as a peaceful demonstration.
In a post on social media platform X, Salman wrote that the protest was "completely peaceful," but said it was "deeply unfortunate" that it turned violent. He praised the courage of the students and their demand for a fair and transparent education system.
The actor stressed that the credit for the movement should belong solely to the students and urged that the protest should not be given a political colour. He expressed confidence that the government would listen to the students' concerns.
Salman also appealed to the government to take constructive steps to strengthen the education system and make positive decisions that restore trust in the examination process.
