The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall alert for more than 30 districts across eastern and western Uttar Pradesh, including Lucknow.

According to the forecast, several parts of the state are expected to witness intense rainfall over the next three days, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds reaching speeds of up to 60 km/h. The weather system is also expected to lower daytime temperatures by as much as 7°C, providing significant relief from the prevailing heat and humidity.

Authorities have warned that the adverse weather could lead to waterlogging, lightning strikes, and disruption due to gusty winds. The administration is monitoring the situation closely and has urged people to follow official weather advisories and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
