Uttarakhand CM Approves ₹99 Crore for Development Projects Across the State

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved financial sanctions worth approximately ₹99 crore for a series of development projects and infrastructure works across the state.

Among the major approvals, ₹3.68 crore has been sanctioned for the automation of the Automated Driving Test Track in Ramnagar, Nainital district. The Chief Minister has also approved ₹2.73 crore for the construction of a 150 KLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and site development at the Police Communication Training Centre in Dhorankhas, Dehradun, ₹9.45 crore for establishing a fire station in the Bahadrabad Industrial Area, and ₹38.06 lakh for the renovation and electrification of the Rudraprayag Treasury building.

To improve public infrastructure, ₹5 crore has been approved for installing streetlights along the pilgrimage route from Kakrali, Tanakpur to Maa Purnagiri Dham in Champawat. In Pithoragarh's Didihat constituency, ₹70.87 lakh has been sanctioned for constructing an internal link road in Lohargaon, with ₹42.52 lakh released as the first instalment.

The Chief Minister also approved ₹99.44 lakh for the construction of an open gym at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Latauli, Champawat. Other tourism and connectivity projects include the development of the Janaki Bridge–Chaurasi Kutiya road in Yamkeshwar as "Beatles Street," the construction of a pedestrian path from Nanda Temple to Kholi Ban in Dharchula, and the beautification of the Shiv Temple in Dungri Fartyal village of Lohaghat.

Additional approvals include ₹5 crore for establishing electricity substations in the Saryu Valley and Shama region of Bageshwar, interlocking tile work at Maa Purnagiri Dham, and the construction of two dharamshalas in Nainital district.

In the healthcare sector, the Chief Minister approved ₹75 crore from the state budget for the smooth implementation of the Golden Card health scheme and the clearance of pending payments under the State Health Authority.

Further, under the Rural Construction Department, the government approved the first instalment of ₹1.37 crore for road, bridge, and rural connectivity projects, including the construction of pedestrian bridges in Chamoli and Pauri Garhwal districts, along with road resurfacing and improvement works in Chamoli.

The approvals are aimed at strengthening infrastructure, improving public services, boosting tourism, and enhancing connectivity across various regions of Uttarakhand.
