Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi Remove Security Personnel After Z+ Cover Withdrawal in Bihar
No security personnel seen outside the former Bihar Chief Ministers’ residence in Patna after the state government withdrew their Z+ security cover.
Patna, Bihar: Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife, former Chief Minister Rabri Devi, were seen without any visible security personnel outside their residence on Saturday morning after the Bihar government withdrew their Z+ security cover.
No security guards were present outside the couple’s official residence at 10 Circular Road in Patna. Reports suggest that Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi directed all security personnel stationed outside their home to return after changes were made to their security arrangements.
The Bihar government recently revoked the Z+ security cover provided to the senior Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leaders, resulting in a revised security setup. Following the withdrawal, a limited number of security personnel had reportedly remained deployed at their residence.
However, the remaining personnel assigned under the new arrangement were also sent back by the former Chief Ministers, leaving the residence without any visible security presence on Saturday morning.
The development has triggered political discussions in Bihar, with questions being raised over the state government’s decision to alter the security arrangements of prominent political figures.
