Uddhav Thackeray Offers to Step Down as Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief Amid Criticism

Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray has made a significant statement amid ongoing criticism and political challenges, saying he is prepared to step down from the party's top post if party members believe the allegations against him are justified.

Addressing supporters, Thackeray said that if people feel the accusations levelled against him are correct, he is willing to relinquish his position as Shiv Sena president.

"If you think the allegations against me are true, then say so. I am ready to step down from the post of Shiv Sena chief," Thackeray said.

He further stated that he would have no objection to appointing any deserving and capable individual as the party president, emphasizing that the interests of the party remain above personal positions.

"I am ready to make any qualified person the president of Shiv Sena," he added.

Despite expressing his willingness to give up the leadership role, Thackeray made it clear that he would not retreat from political struggles and would continue to fight for his beliefs and the party's ideology.

"I am not someone who backs away from a struggle," he asserted.

The remarks come at a crucial time for Shiv Sena (UBT), as the party continues to navigate political challenges and internal debates following the split in the original Shiv Sena. Thackeray's statement is being seen as a message of accountability as well as a reaffirmation of his commitment to the party's future.
